Hey! I’m Nicole

Before I get started on this journey, I thought I should introduce myself. I’m a wife and mama to two kiddos. I am an attorney and small business owner. My days are usually spent working and taxiing my kids around to their activities after-school activities. I am that ”extra” mom who is at everything, makes sure that my kids are always dressed for spirit days, goes all out for birthdays, and loves to craft. I love to clean and organize, but if you come to my house, you would not know it. I love to write, but have not done much writing since college (I do have two poems published). I love to read and I’m obsessed with JFK biographies. I also have cancer (more on that later).

Nick | my precious husband and I have been married for ten years, although we have known each other since high school. He likes to tell everyone that he would spend wrestling practice staring at me during dance practice when our teams shared the gym. He is my best friend and my lobster (Friends fans will get the reference). He is my best advocate and my biggest supporter. He seems tough, but he truly is one of the most caring persons I’ve ever met. We have had lots of fun and conquered lots of obstacles together. He’s also an insanely talented artist, although he is so busy that he does not get much time to work on his art - but when he does, it’s like he never put the paintbrush down. We currently live in the house I grew up in and I love sharing a piece of past with my family.

Landon and McKenzie | my two babies. These two are the reason I do what I do. I was born to be their mama and I am thankful each day to be able to do it. For that reason, I love being the mom who is at everything for school, dance, soccer, football, and acting - I’m even the team mom for my daughter’s dance team and love every minute of it. My kids are busy, but I would not choose our life to be any different. Landon plays soccer and football for his middle school team. McKenzie is a competitive dancer and a budding actor (she has two agents!). Landon is the sweetest boy with the cutest dimples and Kenzie is sweet and sassy. While Landon is fairly outgoing, Kenzie is our social butterfly - Landon will send his sister out on vacations to the beach to meet new kids, before he will go and join them. They love video games and talking to their friends on their iPads/ iPhones, but also hate to clean their rooms. While they frustrate me and my OCD (self -diagnosed of course), I am insanely proud of these two.

Piper | My sweet fur baby! She is a Shih Poo and has the softest, curly poodle fur when it’s long. She is definitely our fifth family member. She is my shadow and loves to cuddle with me at night. She’s a little bit bougie and has to sleep with blankets and pillows. She is so spoiled that she has as much toys as Landon and McKenzie. She is the sweetest baby but can be wild and crazy (Hyper Piper). She completes our little family!

So, that’s me and my family. We aren’t perfect and sometimes it can be a little messy, but to me, this is our best life. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I promise to be real and authentic, and hopefully keep you entertained!
